About this audiobook

Seventeen-year-old Bryar Rose has a problem. She is descended from one of the three magical races - shifters, fairies, or witches. That makes her one of the Magicorum, and Magicorum always follow a fairy tale life template.

In the case of Bryar, that template should be Sleeping Beauty. Trouble is, Bryar is nowhere near the Sleeping Beauty life template. Not even close. She does not like birds or woodland creatures. She cannot sing a note. And she certainly cannot stand Prince Philpot, the so-called His Highness of Hedge Funds that her aunties want her to marry.

Even worse, Bryar finds herself attracted to a hottie werewolf named Knox and is under attack by evil mummy-zombies. If Bryar cannot figure out who - or what - she really is, it might cost both her and Knox their lives...as well as jeopardize the very nature of magic itself.

Christina Bauer

Christina Bauer thinks that fantasy books are like bacon: they just make life better. All of which is why she writes romance novels that feature demons, dragons, wizards, witches, elves, elementals, and a bunch of random stuff that she brainstorms while riding the Boston T. Oh, and she includes lots of humor and kick-ass chicks, too. Christina lives in Newton, MA with her husband, son, and semi-insane golden retriever, Ruby. She loves to connect with her fans at BauersBooks.com.

I made it through chapter 5 I think before I gave up. While the story and set interesting the over all focus on character pissed me off. Do the two warden characters not have lives beyond the two female leads. It was very annoying that the four main cast are they all children and damn near loaded with money. it's hard to relate to them. Show don't tell would have been an amazing thing, i couldn't really sit and listen with out wonder "oh wow the air getting chilly, gem stones are glowing bright right after explain that is guy the warden of wizard's this probably casing a spell." I could use the details given to arrive at the he is using magic without having it stated it directly. I had hope for this but was disappointed

This book, just like all of her others, was great! I like that there is always a deep connection between all the characters in one way or another. I recommend this author not just to young adults but adults as well.

Loved it. I love the love interest interactions. It is equal and the man is very considerate of the women. The female lead is very strong. ❤️❤️
