- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5It's unfortunate that most of Scribd's Spanish-teaching audiobooks are by this same author. I've tried various titles by Mark Frobose and they are all equally bad, they make you want to run the other direction from language-learning. It's like learning from robots with the narrator's monotonous tone, and ironically I think you would actually be better off having a conversation with Siri or Google's AI in Spanish. The Spanish dialogue in the book is fine but they break it up so often, and so frequently, that it's truly hard to hear the full flow of the Spanish dialog. Instead the exercises are mired by very VERY repetitive word-by-word, phrase-by-phrase prompts that you have to repeat. It's the type of book that's designed for if listeners engaged in another activity (e.g. driving) so that it doesn't take much brain power to absorb. All you have to do is repeat. However, in any other occasion, listening to something like this is torture... it fails to teach in any engaging manner.
