- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I knew very little about WW1. The author explored the different sides of this complex war, the consequences that carry on to present day. The story was woven together by five teens and it was interesting to see the connections between them.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Jennifer Neilson is one of my all time favorite authors. In this amazing book, she weaves her great writing into a truly stunning masterpiece that portrays World War I. Five different characters grow up during this war and changing with it in an amazing way. Finally, near the end, Neilson concludes this story in a wonderful way that ties everything together in a perfect bow!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Another great book from Jenn Nielsen! The way everyone connects is a bit far fetched (& Garanov is almost a bit clownish) but it makes sense for a YA/children’s book. The story is more compelling, watching the chain reaction of each characters choices. Great read!
