About this audiobook
The final novel in The Seven Sisters series is here. Narrated by Richard Armitage and Tuppence Middleton.
Spanning a lifetime of love and loss, crossing borders and oceans, Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt, co-authored by her son Harry Whittaker, draws Lucinda Riley's saga to its stunning, unforgettable conclusion.
1928, Paris. A boy is found, moments from death, and taken in by a kindly family. Gentle, precocious, talented, he flourishes in his new home, and the family show him a life he hadn’t dreamed possible. But he refuses to speak a word about who he really is.
As he grows into a young man, falling in love and taking classes at the prestigious Conservatoire de Paris, he can almost forget the terrors of his past, or the promise he has vowed to keep. But across Europe an evil is rising, and no-one’s safety is certain. In his heart, he knows the time will come when he must flee once more.
2008, the Aegean. The seven sisters are gathered together for the first time, on board the Titan, to say a final goodbye to the enigmatic father they loved so dearly.
To the surprise of everyone, it is the missing sister who Pa Salt has chosen to entrust with the clue to their pasts. But for every truth revealed, another question emerges. The sisters must confront the idea that their adored father was someone they barely knew. And even more shockingly: that these long-buried secrets may still have consequences for them today.
In this epic conclusion to the Seven Sisters series, everything will be revealed.
Tuppence Middleton returns to complete the sisters' story alongside Richard Armitage as Pa Salt.
Lucinda Riley
Lucinda Riley was born in 1965 in Ireland, and after an early career as an actress in film, theatre and television, wrote her first book aged twenty-four. Her books have been translated into thirty-seven languages and continue to strike an emotional chord with all cultures around the world. The Seven Sisters series specifically has become a global phenomenon, creating its own genre, and there are plans to create a seven-season TV series. Her books have been nominated for numerous awards, including the Italian Bancarella prize, The Lovely Books award in Germany, and the Romantic Novel of the Year award. In 2020 she received the Dutch Platinum award for sales over 300,000 copies for a single novel in one year – an award last won by J K Rowling for Harry Potter. In collaboration with her son Harry Whittaker, she also devised a series of books for children called the Guardian Angels series, based on stories told to her children whenever they were facing a challenging situation. Harry then wrote the books, and they are now being published internationally. Though she brought up her four children mostly in Norfolk in England, in 2015 she fulfilled her dream of buying a remote farmhouse in West Cork, Ireland, which she always felt was her spiritual home, and indeed this was where her last five books were written. Lucinda was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and died on June 11th 2021, surrounded by her family.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I think Harry has done his mum proud. I really enjoyed the story and although it was partially repeating stories within each of the Seven Sister's own journeys, it was quiet simply captivating! I really loved the audio version, brilliantly read. 10 out of 10.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was the eighth and last book of the series, and I can’t even express how much I loved this book series and how it dominated my whole year. It is one of the best stories I’ve ever heard in my life comparable with the Lord of the rings. I recommend this to all my friends and my family
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/54.5 stars!
A really good ending to a series I have enjoyed very much!
I read a lot of reviews before starting and I’d like to address some of the comments (without giving anything away) since I understand and respect that there is no accountant for taste, and it was useful for me to know before starting:
- At times it can drag a little and is somewhat repetitive. There are scenes that are exceedingly long with minute details that don’t add much and they could have had the same effect being shorter. The first part of Pa's story is especially long. And the dialogue feels a little stilted sometimes.
- It is true that it requires quite a bit of suspension of disbelief (especially how easy it was to adopt the girls), that there are many coincidences and some things are a bit over the top. However, that didn’t bother me too much, I usually throw myself into the story without questioning its plausibility and life has shown me that many times fiction is a mere “copy” of reality.
- I read the seven books last year so I remembered quite a lot, but the story provides enough details so that you recall what happened in each book. I was glad to see that I had “discovered” Pa Salt in each book with the exception of one where I had two possibilities.
- What I found really well done is how the authors managed to introduce all of the characters in the previous books with a rather plausible story within the frame of this series weaving a web of connections that I really enjoyed discovering (even though some parts might have been quite predictable).
- I listened to the Audiobook and the voice actors were great. I know that the actor who reads Pa Salt’s part is a very good actor and he has a very grave, calm and soothing voice, however I found that for some dialogues it didn’t work quite well, especially where there were women involved. The voice he used for Kreeg Eszu, though, was fantastic!
- It was a story of love, loss, family, loyalty, good people doing good things for others and repaying that goodness.
I really enjoyed the whole series and really enjoyed the ending. Now I have a Seven Sisters hangover and don’t know what I’m going to read next.
Thank you, Lucinda Riley, for your wonderful stories and thank you, Harry Whittaker, for making this possible.
