About this audiobook

Power through Prayer challenges the reader to completely alter their perspective on prayer.  Rather than simply crossing off a task on a chore list, taking time to pray is meant to deepen a relationship with God.  E. M. Bounds lays out the most effective ways to use prayer in this manner and to unleash God’s power.  Bounds describes the transformative nature of prayer in one's personal life, in ministry, and in the world.  This manual offers powerful and practical advice on how to improve one’s prayer life and, in turn, their relationship with God.

When I first read this book, and yes I have read it more than once, I was struck with awe. I learned so much about why it is important for us to pray. If we do not pray and try to live up to the sainthood of Jesus, we are leaving ourselves open to attack by the enemy. The author teaches us how to guard our souls against’ the preaching that kills’

The author shows us how to know un-Crucified teachings. Prayer freshens the heart of the teacher for Christ. If you do not pray there is no power in your prayer. It is hard hitting lessons on Prayer. Why do we need it? How should we pray? When should we pray? The character of our prayer determines the earnestness of a preacher's teaching.

Prayer puts God in the Sermon. Prayer should not be a mere performance. This hard hitting book takes on both the preachers and the common man. I have had to take a hard look at my own prayer life. Do I give God 100%of my prayers? Is my prayer just a habit or is it in earnest in the Spirit? This book made me sit up and really face my own prayer life.

Outstanding book and as relevant and needful today as when it was first written. It has helped me rethink the time I give to prayer and challenged me to follow hard after God all the more in 2022. This should be required reading for every believer.
