Reviews for Ruby Wishfingers

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the second book in the Ruby Wishfingers series. In the first book she finds out about her magic wishing powers. She is nine years old and gets nine wishes. The story is quickly recapped at the beginning of this book so it is not necessary to read it first, but I would recommend you do as Ruby learns more lessons in each book, especially as she gets older. In this book, Ruby is 11 years old and the family is celebrating the first birthday of her little brother, affectionately known as Jellybean. Her young cousin, Todd, is coming to spend the day and night. Ruby and Granny Wishfingers are worried. Todd, who appears angelic, is really a terror and they are worried about what he might do as they try to plan and prepare for the birthday party. At the same time, Ruby gets the tingle in her fingers again. Unfortunately, when we get angry at someone we often say things or wish things that are not very nice. When you have wishing power that grants those wished, you end up with big problems. This is another fun book that little children will enjoy, especially little girls. All's well that ends well in the Ruby Wishfinger books with Ruby learning another very important lesson. I recommend this book for family, classroom, school and public libraries for children from 5 to 8. It is a great beginning chapter book for those children that are ready for that or a read aloud if not.I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
