About this audiobook

Vineyards, gardens, fine wine and food pairings delight... yet in this case, death disturbs all tranquility!

Roxanne Samson, a sweet and sensible gardening expert, finds a wealthy wine connoisseur dead in her city garden. The deceased was the boss of Georgi Algarve, who is a flamboyant wine aficionado and manages the Vinho Verde Wine Bar. Roxanne and Georgi, the impulsive and endearing duo, haphazardly search for clues to assist New London's prominent Detective Dan Morrison.

In an alarming few days, the City of Steeples is highjacked by a series of muggings and murder. Morrison tracks the case through posh vineyards and a labyrinth of historic streets. He finds multiple suspects, including deviant doppelgangers, a goth library staffer and a wealthy widow, yet the true motive remains elusive. His pressure is compounded when another victim is found near the Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Presidential convoy is due to arrive for a graduation ceremony.

In between the mayhem, Roxanne learns more about poisonous plants and Georgi educates patrons at fancy wine dinners. Little do they know, they are in the middle of a professional's game of danger and intrigue.

Roses, Wine & Murder is a modern-day mystery laced with New England history, scenic vineyards, and a harrowing Coast Guard rescue. A thrilling madcap adventure about the world of wine, which promises to entertain you with plenty of flair and foul play!

Thank you for visiting! I was born in the wilds of Maine with nature as my teacher. My background in plants and horticulture is in my character Roxanne Samson, an expert gardener. Roxanne utilizes her plant knowledge to research poisonous plants, and she learns from Georgi Algarve, the flamboyant wine aficionado all about vineyards, and wine.I live in a historic area of Connecticut, and so I include bits of New England history and architecture into the mystery as we travel through posh vineyards and a labyrinth of historic city streets. My research included visits to many vineyards and speaking to experts about wine and food pairings.I also interviewed 'those in the know' of an official Presidential visit to the Coast Guard Academy and included the scene and Georgi and Roxanne's escapades during it.I love doing the research to explore the story and my characters so I may enhance their personalities and add to their knowledge. Captain Griswold travels by ferry across Long Island Sound to Orient Point and back, and so did I many times to track my characters and visit the vineyards.Inspirational, educational, and with a dynamic story is how I like to entertain every reader. I look forward to hearing from you with your reviews. Thank you for connecting with me!All the Best to You,RoseP.S. Set in coastal New London, CT, Roses, Wine & Murder by Rose Young is a hghly entertaining, cozy-esque tale of poisonous plants, vineyards, and mayhem.

Accompany the delightful duo of sweet Roxanne, cultivator of most things green, and her colorful wine aficionado friend Georgi as they sleuth their way into trouble, and you’ll be wanting to grab a glass of wine for the ride.

The audiobook version is narrated by Eric Altheide who skillfully portrays each character, both male and female, including various accents, which brings the story to life.

Roses is a well crafted whodunnit that will keep you turning the pages if you’re reading or hold your attention if you’re listening. Cheers!
