In essence an omnibus of separate books of the same then collected in to a single volume. So if you are only interested in Goths or Huns you can just listen to those particular. books. It's mentioneed a lot through out the books that the tribes didn't write down their own histories, these were written mainly by the Romans and Greeks, the people who were being raped and pillaged by the very tribes. So history hasn't been kind to the barbarians. This book will open your eyes to the positive side to these groups.

    I enjoyed it.

The narrator was fine but he mangled up lots of English place-names.
