Book made some useful points and gave some insightful historical examples of changes in the workplace and how people have acted and adapted, not always for the betterment of humankind. I was disappointed that the construct of mirror neurons was stated as a fact because according to my research, this is neuroscience pseudoscience of the past-flat earth understanding, mirror neurons and also the role of the amygdala seem like statements of outdated neuroscience- again, disappointing for this very recent book. Also, the statement of how creativity is uniquely human- this seems ludicrous- as if other animals are not creative to solve problems and have you used ChatGPT to write a song- that AI language tool is amazingly creative, powerfully creative. I got a huge laugh at the calling out of corporate silos for stomping on each other in an attempt to solve for the same thing and all the money, time and other resources that get wasted with ego driven people grandstanding for programs, which result in zero positive outcomes. Yes, this is rampant in the corporate world. Still, I am recommending this book, because the thought provoking ideas outweigh the outdated understanding of neuroscience and I’m a fan of Martin - he had done much good for our world.
