About this audiobook

The USA TODAY bestseller that introduced Sienna Jensen and Lucas Wolfe and launched new adult romance novelist Emily Snow.

Sienna’s dreams lie in California, but when she discovers her grandmother’s Nashville home has been foreclosed, she has no other choice than to move back to Music City, where she comes face-to-face with the flawed, gorgeous man she never thought she’d see again—and who now holds the deed to her grandma’s estate.

Millionaire rock star Lucas Wolfe is just as surprised to find the outspoken redhead glaring at him from across a courtroom. He still can’t get the night Sienna spent with him out of his mind, and the chemistry between them is as undeniable as ever. Now, Lucas is determined to do whatever it takes to lure Sienna into his bed, so he makes a deal with her: if she spends ten days with him, playing by his rules, he’ll hand over the deed to her grandmother’s home.

Though she agrees to the arrangement for her family’s sake, Sienna struggles with the promises she’s made to herself and a past that still haunts her. As Lucas’s game of seduction continues and Sienna is introduced to his dark, erotic world, she realizes that at any moment, she could be devoured.

Read it again and still love it! This is a seductive novel of an attraction that was meant to last. Through twists of fate, secrets best kept quiet, and romantic longing, Sienna and Lucas have to find their way. Cannot wait until the sequel comes out: Consumed!

By the cover I was thinking Sienna was going to have some blue
in her hair but nope it's Red!
The only issue I had with this book is that Lucas is a Dom but it's not said and even know there is a contract for Sienna to sign that aleuts to there also being a d/s contract as well the submissive role is never explained to her leaving her concerned about being tied up and giving over control. I am sad it took Lucas so long to find his way back to Sienna but luckily it worked out. I really thought the book was going to end on a sour note. As always I would love to hear more about Sienna and Lucas' relationship as it starts growing from here with the thorn that is sure to be an issue named Sam.

I didn't much care for the narration of this book. I was lost in a few places and didn't really care for Lucas. I don't understand the total switch from hate to full on love. Over all it needed something more...

Devoured by Emily SnowMy rating: 4 of 5 starsFirst and foremost - the male cover model for this book (among so many others) is Dusan Novakovic.Okay - Devoured by Emily Snow is a somewhat steamy romance novel about a rock star, Lucas Wolfe, and his one that got away, Sienna Jensen. I went into this book loving it. Yeah, Sienna was a little whiny and Lucas was a bit of an ass-hat, but you just know it's going somewhere. There cannot be a happy ending if the book starts out with nothing to improve on. I read some of the reviews that were complaining about the insecurities of Sienna or whatever. I disagree, but then I'm not an overly critical person. Not always a good thing if you make a habit of posting reviews. Oh well.I really enjoyed this book. I liked the crappy family life and the overcoming adversity and the tortured souls etc. Sienna has her funny moments...This is the second time this evening I’ve felt bad for offending Kylie and if this time is anything like the first, she’s about to punch me square in the vagina. There's enough sexual tension between Lucas and Sienna to drive you crazy...Lucas spears a fork into his salad and takes a bite. I study the way he chews—slow, deliberate movements. Tiny flicks of his tongue that causes my body to burn. He turns eating, something that is so basic, into a seductive art. I catch myself sinking my teeth into my own lip as I imagine him drawing it in between his teeth.and...And I find myself wanting to wake-up. Wanting to open my eyes and kiss him. Wanting him to devour me just a little more.I am definitely eagerly awaiting the release of book two, Consumed

I'm starting to feel like the grumpy old lady of reading, lol.

    Damn. I hate a doormat.

The heroine is a complete doormat. Being in her head is like being in the head of a whimpering, whining cowardly child.

    She revolts me somewhat.

Sadly, because I am in the head of this weak and whiny doormat, I have no clue what the hero is really like. Currently, he's a complete and utter dick who has bad taste in women.

I'm really hoping it will get better...but I doubt it will.

Damn. When book blurbs lead you astray.

ETA: I couldn't take it. I started skimming...and becoming more impatient with every word read. The ending though...I both hated and loved the ending. I hated the commentary on her life (I say "her" because she is so weak and pathetic I can't remember her name) but I loved the gesture from the hero. It killed me that that was the ending.

Annnnnnd guess what! It's another serial! Screw your serial. While I do want to know what's going on...I'll not spend the money just to finish up the story that should have been completed in one novel. I'll wait until the series is complete and a fangirl writes a Wiki of it.

I am just going to start this off by saying I had some issues with this book. The problems were not with the basic plot line and story. The story as a whole could have been a really great and fun one.Lucas, a hot guy from Sienna's past, pops back into her life in the worst possible way. Her grandmother, the only person who has really been there for Sienna her whole life, is in trouble. Lucas holds the power to fix it all but won't do it without Sienna submitting to him, in more ways than one.The problems were not so much with the characters. Both Sienna and Lucas are decently developed and somewhat complex. I didn't always love Lucas but grew to like him more and more. Sienna, I started out really liking and became slightly wary of her, but then liked her again. I don't always have to like a character for them to work for me. I like characters I can love and hate, hate to love and love to hate. The problem was in execution. Parts felt rushed. The relationship between Lucas and Sienna, mainly. It is my feeling that it needed a slower progression. Sienna should have fought longer and harder against her attraction and Lucas should have fought longer and harder to win her over. I needed more angsty tension, a more believable conflict and resolution.I don't see how you go from an intriguing (almost) one night stand, to hating each other and then to loving each other as quickly as they did. Especially in the way they did. The (almost) one night stand ends when Sienna refuses to submit to Lucas, yet she seems all to willing to do this later. Even though her character didn't seem to change all that much. I don't know, it just didn't work for me. Maybe because I admire strong powerful woman and I thought that was what she was at first. If you like the male dominance thing, you'll love Lucas. He's all about that. It's an entertaining read, really it is. There were entirely too many short cuts for my liking though.

Oh, for the love of God, why did I read that?!I really expected more from this book after reading several positive reviews of it. The plot is a total cliché which, in addition to the pretty immature and poorly developed characters, makes it very hard for me to like this book or continue with the series at all.The ending was sweet, though, so yeah...1.5/5.
