- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Beyer does her work a huge disservice by also during the voice acting. Maybe she's a good theatre actor, but she's not a good voice actor. I couldn't listen to move then 2 chapters before having to stop. When she narrates, every third word is over emphasized, and the cadence is hard to listen too. I couldn't focus on the story, and worse, her performance made all the writing seem trite and overdone. Which I doubt it is, since she's a great writer. I listen to audio books for 30 hours a week - while I work and while I drive. So it's a big loss to not be able to listen to this one. I want to read the last book in the Voyager series and wrap it up, so I'll have to find time to actually read it instead. Thank god I didn't spend money or an audible credit on this thing. Kirsten, get January La Voy, or another tried and tested voice actor to read your work, please.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was entertaining, I liked some of the new characters, but it seems like it might have been written around the second or third season Voyager was airing. Some inconsistency in how the show actually ended, but I suppose messing with space time continuum can always be used as an excuse for differences.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Nice sequel to her previous book. Excellent storytelling for this genre.
