Hanif Abdurraqib is a poet, essayist, and cultural critic. His work has been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Pitchfork, PEN American, Muzzle, and Vinyl. He is the author of multiple books, including They Can’t Kill Us Until They Kill Us, which was named a book of the year by Buzzfeed, Esquire, and NPR, among others; and Go Ahead In The Rain: Notes To A Tribe Called Quest, a New York Times Bestseller and Kirkus Prize nominee. He lives in Columbus, Ohio.

Loved listening to the poet read his poems as I followed along with the text in front of me! I especially liked how he prefaced some of the poems with context as it was very much appreciated. Honestly, this audiobook felt like I was at one of his readings except extra special because I got to listen to it in the comfort of my home. Thank you for allowing such a fine collection to have a phenomenal audiobook companion and I hope more poetry collections follow suit as they’re a great way of engaging with the reader.
