- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This book is chaotic to say the least. I considered stopping, but as a middle school teacher I continued so I could decide if I wanted to recommend it to students and I ABSOLUTELY would. This gives LOTS of queer British Mean Girls energy. The characters are about fourteen so it's not as risque although there is one part about getting drunk at a house party, vomiting, and possibly browning out. Kids need representation, and while this is a bit exaggerated, it does show the chaos of middle school and high school friendships and dating.
