Lucien and Sophie are back. Can Sophie pick up the pieces of her marriage. Can Lucien and Sophie work together and keep their feelings separate. When Lucien runs from his feelings can Sophie convince him that relationships are real and can be good. Read and find out.
Another easy read, more angst but we get the HEA. - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I don't have much to add to my review of the Knight series, I said what I wanted under book 1. This book seemed a little more contrived, a little more forced, in some places, and I'd have liked there to have been more depth to the book(s), but still, well written. Enjoyable. Good style, interesting, and I'd definitely read more from this author!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I purchased "Knight & Play" by author Kitty French from Amazon. After my best friend told me that I had to purchase the book "Knight & Play," I picked this book up for $4.50. I simply had to find out what was going to happen next to Lucien and Sophie.I bought this book on April 8, 2014 and started reading it immediately. I finished this book on April 9, 2014. With the second book being 217 pages, I was reading non-stop. If I wasn't reading, I was listening to the book through my headphones.I'm not an erotica fan. I have read some in the past and always felt like I was basically watching some bad porn movie. However, with the Lucien Knight Erotic Trilogy, you aren't getting that. You are getting a story that is just spiced very well with several sex scenes.*****"Knight & Stay" kicks off with such an exciting scene and in my opinion extra hot. Lucien has just presented Dan with photos of his extra marital affair. Sophia, enjoying watching Dan try to weasel his way out of this one, is doing her best to try to hold her composer. Then Lucien who has decided that he's had enough of Dan's cocky behavior spouts off "The lady? I think you lost the right to speak to Sophie when you decided to screw someone other than you wife, don't you?" (page 3) Next thing you know, Dan is thrown against the wall, Lucien has Dan by the Collar and up against the wall. (What woman wouldn't want two men fighting over her?)Sophie has sunk into a world of depression. Since the battle of men has gone down in her hallway, she has avoided any and everything that is outside her front door. Lucien has been calling like crazy to profess his undying love and to check on her. Dan has moved in with his mistress. Now it's all up to her to decide what she is going to do with her life. No matter what she decides, she will need to set ground rules. As Sophie struggles with her ground rules, Lucien has decided he is going to push those boundaries. In the first book, "Knight & Play" Lucien held the reins and was in total control. In "Knight & Stay" he has lost his control of Sophie. Now she is the one that has the control and he has entered uncharted territory. You can feel the sexual tension between the two when it comes to lunch. The way that Lucien struggles to just reach out and touch her hair sends chills down your spine. Even Sophia is struggling with her own boundaries. The way that Lucien looks in his suits, the way he smells, the way he even looks at her makes her just want to jump and take him at that moment. With a trip to Paris to preview his new club, Lucien has to either take this opportunity to cross those boundaries or continue on yearning for the woman that he desires. Sophie has to learn what it is she wants in her life. The two begin to struggle with what it going to be best for them and their future. Do they want to be exclusive? Is Lucien even capable of being faithful? Is Sophie ready to commit to another relationship so quickly after her failed marriage?*****In "Knight & Play" Lucien guides Sophie into a world that's a sensory overload of desire and sexual overload. In "Knight & Stay," Ms. French teases us with the desire to have something that you know you can't have.Again in this book as with the first, you also get this amazing story that allows you to get wrapped up in the minds of Sophie and Lucien. You can't help but get caught up in the inner conflicts that they both are struggling with. At one point I got so mad at Lucien that I caught myself yelling, NO! (I was listening with my headphones on while driving, I'm sure the people next to me at the light was wondering what was going on in my truck)I can say that the sex in this book seemed a little more tamed than in the first. Not that it wasn't hot, don't get me wrong, but nothing compared to the first. I did peak at the next book in the series and decided to not read it. The book focuses on Sophie's best friend Kara. With the first two books focused on Sophie and Lucien, I was doing think I want to get too involved with a new character and that be the end of the trilogy. With the ending of "Knight & Stay" I felt happy with how thing worked out. I wasn't left hanging, so I opted to just not read the third.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I loved this book more than I liked the first one. This was written well and answered a lot of questions. Really steamy scenes. Love Lucien's passion, Kara's friendship, & Sophia's strength. Dan is a shit but so sad (like I feel bad for him and his decisions).
