Great book for young girls to read! I really liked the plot. Posey needs to find a pet to write about for her class assignment. After discovering her new neighbor has a dog, she decides she is going to write on him. However, she is afraid and remembers her past, when a dog jumped on her and licked her ice cream. Posey, who is now secretly afraid of dogs, faces her fears in order to save her next-door neighbor's dog when he got his paw stuck. Princess Posey turns out to be "Hero's Hero." This story demonstrates kindness, friendship, courage, and creativity. Also, the illustrations are very detailed and attractive to the eyes, even though they are not in color. The reader can imagine what they would look like in color because the cover is in color.
