- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Lucianna has seen her two elder sisters wed and their rebellion from their mother's wishes after they became widows. Lucianna behaves as a dutiful daughter and marries an elderly man that her parents have chosen for her. Their marriage is short but both were contented and now that she too is widowed and financially secure, she will not let her mother choose another husband for her. Instead, she works at her husband's book shop until her father asks her to help him at the silk mart. Here she meets a handsome Englishman . Her father persuades her to become the Silk guild's representative in London aand there she aand her Englishman reunite.I lovea good romance!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This historical romance was interesting enough to finish but I found it very mundane. Most of the action was not very exciting and there was no passion. It had too much repetitive political discussion. Lucianna is newly widowed when Lord Robert walks into the bookstore where she works.
