This modern fantasy tells the story of Pete the Cat. He originally could not stand Valentines, but then realized that Valentine's Day is cool. He went home and made Valentine's for every single person in his class. He went on the bus the next day. He then invited people over for his Valentine's Day party. He forgot about his bus driver, but he created a card before he got off the bus! He realizes that he needs to make Valentines for everyone. Soon he learns that cards represent that you care about someone, but hanging out with that person can show you care as well.

I know there is something wrong with me because I am just not a fan of Pete the cat. It’s hard to explain why. I guess I just want more for all the hype he gets. This title is just the same. Peter learns that making valentines is cool and then make a bunch for his class and people in the neighborhood.

Pete the Cat discovers that Valentine's Day is not such a bad day after all as he enthusiastically makes and distributes Valentines to all his friends and important adults in his life. While the Pete the Cat books are not illustrated quite as well as some, this one is still a winner.
