What our readers think

Readers find this title has elements of disappointment, with a focus on moral lessons rather than whimsy. However, the series is enjoyable for re-reading as an adult.

Even the parts involving Anne have very little Anne in them anymore. Montgomery focuses on the moral lessons of the children and completely sidesteps the whimsy and wonder of the earlier books. Anne herself has been gutted, replaced with a hopelessly beige, proper and blank-willed character. It's disappointing.

I enjoyed this recording of Anne of Ingleside. The reader was easy to listen to without being distracting.

How beautiful it is to see Ana as a mother now, and they certainly didn't waste any time. I've had so much fun with the adventures of the little ones, although I wish there were more involvement from Gilbert, the poor guy is always working. (Translated from Spanish)

Ana is the mother of six children; her family is her happy home, filled with love and life. But after 15 years of marriage, Ana wonders if Gilbert still loves her like he did in the old days. How could she come to think that? In a way, Ana, deep down, is still the cheerful and incorrigible red-haired girl from Green Gables. (Translated from Spanish)

The truth? It's the one I've liked the least so far. ?

I don't have much to add because it took me a long time to finish reading and frankly, I don't even remember the first half of the book HAHA

Ana is still interesting even though I lost track of her a few times, not like in the first book where I devoured all her ramblings and thoughts, but still, you can't compare the first with the last book. ? (Translated from Spanish)

Our little Anne is already quite a lady, and I would have loved to read more about her. But this book introduces us to the children of our favorite couple. Each of them is so unique and sweet that I already love them. Does anyone know if there is a book about their children? I didn’t give it 5 stars because at the moment it was disappointing to have so little about Anne, but it is a book full of anecdotes worth reading. (Translated from Spanish)

I don't have much to write about this book, only that I enjoyed getting to know the mindset of Anna's children, and that in our beloved redhead, that girl I fell in love with in Anne of Green Gables still exists. (Translated from Spanish)

Ana is the mother of 6 children. This book is about them, their innocence, their growth, as well as the discovery of the ugly things in life: envy and hypocrisy. They live in a beautiful house and have a practical housekeeper, with a strong sense of duty who loves them unconditionally. Gilbert is a very successful doctor. A beautiful book. Ana's children are growing and developing their imagination, while also facing complicated or humorous situations because of it, especially when they have to confront those fantasies with reality. (Translated from Spanish)
