What our readers think
Readers find this title to be an important and well-written discussion of the transgender moment. It provides clarity on a concerning and ambiguous issue. However, it is important to note that the author has a conservative bias and opposes same-sex marriage, which may make it a biased anti-trans treatise. Overall, the book offers varied perspectives and opens readers' eyes to the views and psyche of liberals.

Things the medical community doesn’t even know. Pseudoscience motivated by politics. No wonder Amazon banned it… they’re very open about their political stance.1 person found this helpful

I was pleasantly shocked at how thorough and readable this book was. The whole transgender issue has been concerning, ambiguous, and filled with tension. Anderson explains the issue with great clarity.3 people found this helpful

Be warned that Ryan T Anderson is a conservative political commentator and former research fellow from the Heritage Foundation (conservative evangelical Christian think tank). He is famous for his stand opposing same-sex marriage. Unfamiliar with the author and based on the book's description, I started reading with the hope of getting a thoughtful examination of issues around trans identity. I was prepared for (and wanted) varied perspectives. I wasn't prepared for such a wildly biased anti-trans treatise.
If someone you love is dealing with gender identity issues, for the sake of your loved one and the sake of your relationship, stay away from this book.7 people found this helpful
