What our readers think

Readers find this title to be an enjoyable and informative introduction to Hekate and witchcraft. The book provides interesting rituals and a lot of historical information about the origin of Hekate, without sugarcoating her darker aspects. The narrator's calm and pleasant reading voice is appreciated. However, some readers were disappointed by the author's discussion of gender identity and personal beliefs, feeling that it detracted from the focus on the goddess. Overall, this book is recommended for those interested in working with Hekate or studying neopagan practices.

An enjoyable book with interesting rituals and a lot of historical information about the origin of Hekate, I quite enjoyed it and appreciated the mention of darker aspects of the Goddess, not sugarcoating her to be more acceptable for consumption.
The narrator does a great job as well, she has a calm and pleasant reading voice in my opinion.

I learned so much from this book. Just started working with Hekate and decided to pick this book up. I appreciate its balanced approach to deity, being honest that Hekate isn’t all “love and light”. Very good for those interested in working with her or just studying about neopagan Practices.

Definition of a witch: a woman thought to have magic powers, especially evil ones, popularly depicted as wearing a black cloak and pointed hat and flying on a broomstick.
This lady is trying to change the meaning of witch, trying to group all spiritual teachings into one bog category.
What she's saying is that every spiritual person, Buddist, Jesus, Muhammad, Mosses ext is all witches.
If you believe life after death n becomes a monk to learn spiritual gifts, to her you are a witch.
That's stupid lol 1 star for that.

Wanted to like it for the insights, but honestly- the appropriation of a shared Hoodoo spell that "inspired" one she wrote... gross. Appropriation is gross.

This book lost me when it started discussing gender identity and sis people or whatever. That wasn't even a thing back in those days so trying to throw that into the mix in regards to a goddess from the earliest of days .come on man. Then the author also pushes her beliefs about dark magic and what's right and wrong and what u shouldn't and shouldn't do. I wanted a book on the goddess not someone's personal beliefs. This was a fail for me. I stopped it as soon as it got into the gender BS.
