- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A nice adventure story for middle school kids. The title is a bit misleading in that there is a whale but his part in the story in minor at best. The story centers on a young boy who escapes a sinking ship and ends up on a vacant beach. Two men are chasing him beause he has information about the location of a hidden treasure. The boy is befriended by a brother and sister (twins) who help him escape them and aid the treasure hunt.
