30 years on!

Academy Award-winning costume designer Tim Chappel can’t believe it’s been 30 years since he was approached to work on an oddly titled low-budget movie called The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert.

The humble, fun-loving artist says it was a creative project that has changed his world forever.

“I was so young at the time,” recalls Tim, 56, of the first time he clambered aboard the iconic Priscilla bus, which would take him on the ride of his life. “I went from being a bartender to an Oscar winner in a matter of weeks.”
