Outrage in Arizona

n April 9, the conservative Arizona Supreme Court sent shock waves throughout the nation when it ruled in favor of a 160-year-old abortion ban — a law enacted before American women could vote or Arizona was even a state. The ban, brought back to in 2022, criminalizes all abortions “except those necessary to save a woman’s life,” and penalizes healthcare providers who terminate pregnancies.
