“I bought this project as a rolling shell back in 2015 — my son was 15 and this was to be our project car,” says Chris. “Time went by, life intervened, my son grewmany projects this one turned out to be a mess beneath the surface. In the end a second body was bought, the roof grafted to the new shell, the usual rust areas replaced and strengthening fitted in the engine bay. New rear turrets were installed along with modified steel bubble arches to fit 9x17 inch rims. In the end my local race car guy sourced an Anglia van rear to get the wheelbase just right under the arches.
