ARE BINOCULARS A BURDEN?

I NEVER hunt without binoculars. To me, a pair of binoculars is not an optional hunting accessory but a vital part of the gear I carry. Someone once said that rifle scopes help us to see better and shoot better when we hunt, but binoculars are the hunt. I fully agree with that statement.

If you hunt in open and/or mountainous terrain (and you are a walk-and-stalk hunter), you hunt the game with your binoculars and once the quarry is located, you plan your stalk and hopefully end it successfully by bagging the animal. Binoculars also add greatly to the pleasure of the hunt because they reveal things and animals that are often invisible to the naked eye.
