Chalke History Festival

The brightest minds and most talented performers in the historical community will be drawn together for an entertaining week in Wiltshire

Chalke History Festival, formerly known as Chalke Valley History Festival, has released the programme for its 2024 event, held from 24-30 June, and announced a range of changes that will make this year’s event like no other. “It’s very much Darwinian evolution rather than radical revolution,” says Creative Director James Holland, “but we can certainly promise a richer, more wide-ranging programme, with more to do, hear, see and experience.”

On top of its rebranding, the festival’s layout will alsoHolland and Dominic Sandbrook from podcast, plus Max Hastings, Michael Palin, Bethany Hughes and more. The change in layout has also allowed the Chalke History Festival curators to ensure minimal overlap so you can see as many of the talks as possible.
