Although until recently owned by an Italian count, this former was one of 37 loodsschoeners (ie pilot schooners) which served on the north coast of the Netherlands. At 92ft (28m) loa, was one of the biggest loodsschoeners and operated for 12 years, firstly around the island of Texel, at the mouth of the Zuiderzee, and later around the Hook of Holland.
