THE UNFREQUENTED Berwyn range, where heathery ribs rise to a long moorland ridge, is the perfect antidote to those busy paths in Eryri/Snowdonia. These quiet hills, east of Bala and just outside the National Park, sweep down to the sheer 80-metre cascade of Pistyll Rhaeadr, which comes with a bucket full of legends.
