I had the privilege of meeting changemaker Moo Baulch a few years ago through her work at the Redfern-based, Women’s and Girls’
Emergency Centre (WAGEC), a specialist homelessness service for women and families escaping domestic violence. Through Moo and WAGEC I have learnt that every single one of us has a role to play in preventing domestic violence, and on Sunday May 5, I look forward to taking part with the local community, in the annual Walk for WAGEC fundraiser, so women and children can walk away from violence.
