MY Lightweight is gloriously, and finally, back on the road. It’s not perfect – the dash lights now don’t work and (very annoyingly) neither does the choke light, for which I brokered a discount – but I was as happy to get it out of the Hemel Hempstead garage as they probably were to see the back of us both.
It’s wonderful to be back behind the wheel and bliss to have functioning indicators. I had become so accustomed to hand-signalling that indicators feel like an upgrade, rather than an essential basic vehicle component.
