I read somewhere that somebody – whom I don’t know at all and couldn’t care less about (all looking very vague so far, but it will get more precise as we go along, I promise) – was awarded a Black Belt in Mixed Marital Arts. Yes, Marital. I know it should have read ‘Martial’, but I was thrilled: anyone can do a high kick, but being good at marriage is a real achievement.
