At home in Australia back in 2011, she was just 18 when she connected with the former US marine online – and their whirlwind romance moved quickly.
Within months she’d travelled to Ohio, where he was born and raised, to meet her internet lover.
And by January 2012, the pair had tied the knot and Kelly started a new life in the United States.
It seemed like a fairytale, and the couple went on to welcome two children.
But within five years, cracks were beginning to show in the relationship.
