Man who killed 6-year-old in freeway shooting gets 40 years to life

LOS ANGELES — Marcus Eriz, the Costa Mesa man who claimed not to understand why he fired the bullet from his car that killed a 6-year-old boy in 2021, received a sentence of 40 years to life in prison on Friday.
