Sustainable Mining Development In Rwanda

With funding provided by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH has supported Rwanda in its efforts to develop a sustainable mining industry.

The goals are to enhance compliance with international mineral sourcing standards, strengthen technical vocational education and training skills in mining, as well as promote environment-friendly mining practices.
