Standing in the local park with my boyfriend Dylan, then 22, we were enjoying the sun shining brightly above us.

What an exciting day, I thought, as butterflies filled my tummy.

At 20 weeks pregnant with our first bub, we’d invited our family and friends to find out the gender with us.

Dylan and I counted down from three, before popping a black balloon with pins.

‘It’s a boy,’ we cried in unison, as blue confetti rained down over us.
