YOU WILL NEED

Sturdy tote bag

■ Assorted selvedges and fabric scraps: approx 1½yds total
■ Lining fabric: 15/8yds
■ Binding fabric: ¼yd
■ Fusible interfacing: 28in x 46in
■ Two (2) pieces of batting: 30in x 25in each
■ Cotton webbing: 2¼yds
■ Bag tags or decorative labels (optional)

FINISHED SIZE

■ 19in x 27in x 6½in

NOTES

■ Seam allowances are ¼in, unless otherwise noted.
■ RST= right sides together.
■ WOF= width of fabric.
■ WST= wrong sides together.

FABRIC USED

Fabrics are all scraps from Felie’s stash.

CUTTING OUT

1 From the lining fabric cut:

■ Two (2) 23in x 27½in.

2 From the binding fabric cut:

■ Two (2) 2¼in x WOF.

3 From the fusible interfacing cut:

■ Two (2) 27½in x 23in.

4 From the cotton webbing cut:

■ Two (2) 40in lengths. Zig-zag stitch the ends to prevent fraying.

PREPARING YOUR FABRIC SCRAPS

You will need a total of sixty (60) 5in squares to piece the outer panels of the bag. Follow steps 6–7 to create scrappy squares. Once you’ve pieced your
