In our July 2023 edition, we carried a story and progress update about the ‘Great Northern Classics’ project, so it was interesting to return in late March 2024, to see the progress made, as the venue prepared for its impending opening.

First, to recap. The stated aim of the Great Northern Classic (GNC) project was and is to become ‘an industry powerhouse’ and the quote went: ‘[It will be] An all-encompassing one-stop destination centre for heritage vehicles… the centre will house specialist workshops, secure car storage, a range of year-round event spaces, a cafe and a training school.’
