‘Hey, that’s my dad!’

I was browsing the Feb. 1 issue of Old Cars and stopped at the “Watching the Fords Go By” column by Phil Skinner titled “Behind the Parts Counter.” I immediately thought of my father and wished he were still here to enjoy the piece. As I scanned the photos, I nearly fell off my chair. There was my father’s picture on the top right corner of page 111! He is shown standing behind his parts counter in 1946.

The caption named the dealer as Larry Newman Lincoln-Mercury. Actually, it was Harry Newman Mercury, located at the corner of
