Singing the praises of Cambridge
My wife, Belinda, and I have been talking about getting a VW campervan since my wife has been given the all-clear for her cancer treatment.
Being a bit fussy and wanting great service, it took us quite a long time to decide what we wanted to have on the van and what engine we were going to go for.
After a couple of trips to the NEC Motorhome and Caravan Show, we picked up so much information and finally managed to make our minds up on everything we wanted. After a lot of research, I whittled my decision down to Cambridge Campervans, which was a long way from Bath where we live.
I phoned up and spoke to a staff member. The company had a van on order in the colour and engine size we were after; leaving a deposit, we hooked in a date to visit it and go through the extras we wanted and the timescales for the ’van to be ready.
It was a lot of money to spend and obviously we were slightly anxious that we hadn’t dealt with Cambridge Campervans before, although one of the reasons was because of the reviews I’d read about the company. When we visited, my first impressions were what a professional, clean-looking dealership that was immaculately clean and tidy.
Then we met the lady we had spoken to on the phone, who was so helpful and amazingly knowledgeable. I came armed with lots of questions and she was very patient and certainly knew her stuff, which made us change our minds on a couple of things.
We had to wait a couple of months before it would be ready, during which time any questions I had were promptly answered.
True to her word, a couple of months later, we had a message to say the ’van would be ready the end of January.
