Too much stuff

After 10 years of fun, we’re changing our Auto-Trail Frontier Mohawk for a younger, lighter Auto-Trail Imala 730. I have therefore set to emptying said Mohawk.

Th ree days later, I’m only halfway through and our spare bedroom is stuff ed to the gunwales with coats, crockery, towels, duvets and pillows!

I still have the lounge cupboards (wine glasses and mugs, teas and coffees, etc) – oh, and the sofa storage – still to empty. Then I’ve got the rear under-bed garage…

Honestly, I knew the Mohawk had a substantial payload, but multiple armfuls later, I wonder why we have so much stuff to cart around!

New rule – we will take only what we need just for the trip in future! I’m off to make some space in the garage...

Sellers beware

Please be aware of people roaming around wanting to buy your motorhome and offering a good price.

They return later to buy your ‘van at agreed price, then pull out a damp meter that possibly gives a false reading.

I then was offered a knockdown price to take my ‘van. The reason I spotted this was I had my own meter.

Do you play the piano

Do you love rallying and can play the piano? Then the Caravan and Motorhome Club Singers would love to meet you.

They are looking for a piano accompanist for rehearsal weekends and performances.

The choir was formed 15 years ago and consists of members of the Club who like to combine their hobby of motorhoming with their passion for singing.

The group consists of about 70 people, who meet up to six times per year and hold weekend rehearsal rallies, with a view to performing concerts for Club and other events.

As members come from all parts of the UK, rallies are held mainly in the Midlands area, ie Leicestershire, Staffordshire and the Warwickshire region.

Further information about the group can be found on the website  camc-singers.co.uk or email  secretary.ccsingers@gmail.com
