This year there are some breaks with tradition, with no Mallory Park meeting and the final leg being in mid-October at the popular Lord of Lydden meeting. All forms of motorsport are increasingly expensive, as indeed are all public events, with organisers finding it increasingly difficult to cover costs, let alone generate a surplus. Often the paying public doesn’t get to see the true costs of putting on motorsport, which is very expensive for the organisers of niche or minority sports. Round 1 Croft Circuit – North Yorkshire
Croft is a very fast circuit and has regularly hosted BTCC touring cars, as well as British Superbikes. The circuit is an old airfield, so flat and fast, with three long straights allowing the faster scooters to really stretch their legs over its two-mile length. The circuit is definitely a test
