PAPILLON

For Graham Lee it all began when he was a teenager and with a group of pals he bought a Vespa PX to ride on the school fields near to where he lived. “We all chipped in and would take turns riding it. When we’d made enough of a nuisance of ourselves the local residents would call the police and when the police arrived we’d be out of the field one way, and they’d be in the other!”

Prior to those days Graham had watched the movie Papillon several times and had become a great fan. “It was the ‘not giving up’ and the non-defeatist attitude of Papillon that inspired me. His attitude struck a chord and it’s been something I’ve always been able to reflect back to when I’ve been going through tough times.”
