KLUB FOOT THE 1980s REBORN

Cast your mind back four decades, and it’ll take you to a time when scooter rallies were at their peak. Included in that era are the custom machines which provided the very fabric that helps us reminisce about what is arguably the most significant period in the scene’s history. It seems that we can’t get enough of the grainy images portraying custom Vespas and Lambrettas from the time, and many of the surviving machines are regarded as classics. Some of those that have succumbed to the passage of time have been the inspiration for tribute machines, but it’s much harder to create a machine that has all the hallmarks of that time but is completely fresh in its appearance. To do this it’s necessary to use technology and techniques that are seldom seen these days, so the art of getting it right isn’t as easy as it seems.
