My Mac has an external disk named Mac User. Can I create an alias to it in the Volumes folder so I can also access it using a different name?
Sadly, it’s not as simple as that, as the top–level Volumes folder can’t be changed by the user, only by the system, which uses it to automatically mount volumes. There’s one notable exception to that: it also mounts a link to your current startup volume
