Q I have been watching a lot of YouTube from America and Australia where the fishermen wear these face snoods to cover themselves. Why don’t UK anglers wear them?

CK says: You are talking about buffs. They are very popular abroad. We don’t have the same ferocity of sunlight as they do in the Middle East, Australia and parts of the USA. The type of buffs they use are breathable and offer full UV protection. They are very useful to stop your face from burning and are comfortable to wear. I have five or six of them from my trips to warmer climes. You can use them here between June and September, particularly if your skin burns more easily. They also make merino wool thermal versions which are a godsend to use in a UK winter, keeping your face and neck warm when the wind is biting, and relatively inexpensive at £13-£20 each.
Q I am thinking of targeting black bream in the spring and summer at Pagham in West Sussex, and I am also travelling to Chesil Beach in Dorset. I have never caught bream before. I would like to know what type of
