Treatinga whole host of issues

Q I have heard that acupuncture can be used to treatawhole host of different conditions in horses, but I can't imagine what these would be as I've never seen it used before.

Acupuncture can be used in the treatment ofavariety of issues. Primarily in my work it is used to alleviate chronic musculoskeletal pain, such as tightness in the horse's back, or any form of muscular pain. It can be useful as a maintenance therapy, too, much like physiotherapy.
