Describe your passion for animals while growing up

When my mum and dad moved out of London they bought a run down cottage withatwo-acre paddock. I spent my time there chasing grasshoppers and crickets and the mice or voles the cat had dropped, nursing them back to health and collecting them as pets. I had everything from parrots and polecats to turtles, terrapins and snakes, and we converted the garage into a reptile enclosure to house them.
