Did Someone Say Food Fight?

DYNAMIC DUO

Allis says Ramsay is “very much down-to-earth” even with celeb mates like David Beckham, Madonna and Fergie. He also has an eye for talent, making him the perfect mentor. “It’s in people or it’s not,” she says of the contestants.

Our favourite foul-mouthed celebrity chef better watch his back, because Janine Allis is a force to be reckoned with. Boost Juice founder and reality TV boss lady, Allis will go head-to-head with Gordon Ramsay in Nine’s new series Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars to hunt for Australia’s best new food or beverage business. One winning idea from each team will take home a $250,000 cash prize as well as a one-year mentorship from either Allis or Ramsay, to help them kick start their venture.

“It’s a show that has that magic dust,” Allis tells WHO. “It’s engaging, it’s funny, it’s got the drama, it makes you laugh and makes you cry – it’s got everything. I’m really excited about it.”

It’s also a series she’s supremely proud of, and hopes viewers are too. “Other than the fact I survived Survivor and didn’t die, I’m most proud of this show,” she admits. Here, the TV favourite talks food, Madonna, and how potty-mouth Ramsay is actually a pussy cat.
