WALKING AWAY

AFTER 11 SEASONS, THE WALKING DEAD IS ENDING – BUT IT’S NOT OVER FOR FAN FAVOURITE DARYL DIXON

After 12 years and 11 epic seasons fighting for survival in a zombie apocalypse, Norman Reedus is entitled to put his boots up. But the 53-year-old isn’t quite done with The Walking Dead universe, reprising his role of Daryl Dixon in an upcoming spin-off. As the final episodes air, Reedus tells WHO, “It feels sad, but it also feels like it’s something to celebrate. It’s definitely bittersweet. It feels like a positive thing because not a lot of shows get to this point of being on for as long as we have and having the incredible fan base we have.”

Can you describe that moment when the cameras stopped rolling?

It was pretty emotional. Everyone was crying and hugging each other. Speeches were made and there was a lot of glitter. There were glitter canons (laughs).

What are you going to miss most about The Walking Dead?

The people, definitely. The cast and crew on this show are so special. I’ve made some of my best friends on this show. We’re all one big family. I already miss the people and I miss Georgia where we shot the show over the years. It’s still amazing to me
