PATTERN NOTES

From Row 3 onwards, the first stitch of every row should be slipped purlwise with yarn held at the front of the work - this forms a neat slip stitch edging.

BOBBLES

When working the row before a row with bobbles and a row with bobbles (such as rows 54 and 55), slip all stitches with yarn held at WS of work - this is the front of the work on WS rows, and the back of the work on RS rows.

SHAWL

Using 4 mm needles and yarn A, cast on 5 sts.

Row 1 (RS): (Kl, inc in next st) twice, Kl. 7 sts.

Row 2: P7.
